NEW Preschool Program

Bring a live raptor to your preschool classroom and give your children an up-close and personal experience they’ll never forget. Introduce your children to the exciting group of birds known as “raptors” or “birds of prey.” Rebecca Lesko, an experienced environmental educator and bird handler, specializes in programs for 2 ½ - to - 5 year old children.

Young children will learn different flight patterns through pretending to be hawks or owls, the different calls by hearing and imitating the calls, about the three types of bird feathers by touching each type, and by dressing one student as a raptor they will learn the special adaptations that make a raptor a raptor. The climax of the program, meeting a live raptor, allows the children to see and understand all of the information they learn during the program. It brings everything together in a very exciting way. This hands-on, action-packed lesson is perfect for the preschooler’s mind.
